Start Your Ontario G1 Practice Test

Welcome to our Ontario G1 Practice Test page! We’ve got a comprehensive & free G1 practice test to help you get ready for the traffic sign test & written test you need to get your G1 license. Whether you’re just starting out or need a refresher, our practice tests will guide you through each step.

How the G1 Practice Test Works

The G1 test is split into two main parts:

Traffic Signs – This part checks how well you know road signs. That means warning signs, regulatory signs, and informational signs.

Rules of the Road – This section looks at Ontario’s road laws, driver responsibilities, and safe driving tips.

Our G1 practice test has 40 multiple-choice questions: 20 on traffic signs & 20 on road rules. To pass the real G1 written test, answer at least 16 questions right in each section.

How to Pass the G1 Written Test

Passing the Ontario G1 written test is your first step to becoming a fully licensed driver. Here’s what you should do:

Study the Ontario Driver’s Handbook – The test is based on this handbook. Knowing the rules is key.

Practice, Practice, Practice! – Use our free G1 practice test Ontario to mimic the real thing. The more you practice, the more you’ll be ready & confident on test day.

Focus on Weak Areas – If certain topics are tricky, go back to the handbook and use our practice tests again and again until it clicks.
